Say goodbye to unruly, untamed, uneven brows with Brow Lamination!
Our relationship with brows has had a lot of ups and downs over the years, from Greta Garbo’s thin arched frame of the 1930s (that looked like they had been sketched on her face with a No. 2 pencil) all the way to screen siren ingenues who went the more natural route, à la Ingrid Bergman and Marilyn Monroe. Men have had a shape-changing relationship with brows, too. Think of the thick bushy brow Martin Scorcese rocked during his “Godfather” chapter or the cleaner shape sported by Brad Pitt and Lenny Kravitz in the early 2000s.
Today, after a lot of twists and turns, the big, bushy brow is officially back. Think Brooke Shields circa her Calvin Klein years or Oscar Isaac in “Dune.” Through a multi-step process called Brow Lamination, your brow hairs are lifted upwards, fanning up and out towards your hairline, highlighting your eyes and framing your face. Waxing the City is proud to offer this new trending service that’ll help you get that full, lifted look. And you don’t even need a wand of gel to keep it in place.
At Waxing the City, we’re always researching the best new services to bring you the boldest, freshest looks. Our Cerologists have been trained in Brow Lamination, so your face is always in safe hands when you walk into one of our studios.
Here's how it works:
Consultation
You’ll meet with one of our certified Cerologists. Together, the two of you will discuss what you are hoping to get out of your service. They will explain the process. Then you will define your brow goals and make a plan.
Relaxing the Hair
Your Cerologist will use a special formula to relax your brow hairs, breaking down their structure to make it straight and easy to manipulate.
Setting the Shape
Then, they will brush the relaxed hairs into your desired shape. You’ll make sure it’s what you hoped to create. Once you are ready to move forward, they’ll apply another treatment that will keep your brow hairs in place.
Bespoke Brow Tinting
Every Brow Lamination service includes a brow tint. So once your shape is set, your Cerologist will make a custom color and apply it to your brows.
Mapping the Brows
Now that your brow hairs are lifted, tinted and held in place, you’ll need a new brow shape to match them. Your Cerologist will wax, thread, tweeze and feather them to build a brand-new frame for your face.
Finishing
The final step is finishing the brow. Your Cerologist will make sure the shape, color, and direction of the hairs is what you hoped to achieve and make any minor corrections before you are finished with your service. Your brows will hold their shape, color and lift for up to 8 weeks.
Over the decades, we’ve seen it all. From the finely tuned brows of Elvis Presley to the thick bold brow of Cara Delivigne. We’re firm believers that the big, bushy brow is where brow beauty will live for a while. And the best part is you can create a brow that’s unique to you. If you’re curious about how it might work for your face, we invite you to come in and meet with one of our trained Cerologists who will help you create your best brow ever.
Brow Lamination is a special service that works for anyone, regardless of brow shape or size. It manages those annoying hairs that sag or shoot out of place, keeping them in line to create your most perfect brow shape. Before Brow Lamination, brows were held down by pencils, shadows, gels and liners, adding too many more steps into your morning routine. Now you can skip your morning brow steps and roll out of bed with that “I just woke up like this” look.
It’s time to embrace your unique brow and show it off, rather than waxing or tweezing it away into oblivion, aka too thin a line. A full, lifted brow will bring attention to your eyes and give you a youthful frame to your face. Book your Brow Lamination today.
